I have see a lot of filter issues lately. Filters going bad after just a few weeks, filters not fitting, filters causing the filter housing to break and more. Almost all of these customers had bought their filters off of Amazon. Usually at a much better price than a local store. I examined a few of them that appeared to be OEM but found they were not. Then I came across this article. Apparently, there are tons of FAKES coming in from overseas.

If your filter is usually $50 and you see a link for 3 for $60 on Amazon, I can guarantee that they are NOT going to be original filters. I recomend getting the filters from a local store so you know they are actually the right ones and that they will actually filter your water and not damage your fridge.
